A few hacks to make consuming tea, day to day, a bit easier.
Swell water bottles: Swoon! They keep tea hot for 12 hours, cold for 24 and eliminate some of the 50 million plastic bottles dumped in landfills each year. All of that goodness wrapped in some super fresh and contemporary designs.
Breville electric tea kettle: Oh the glorious, glorious Breville. Steeping doesn’t get much easier. You will officially feel like a rock star with a fully automated tea kettle.
Gravity Pot: Alright, we can’t all save our pennies and treat ourselves to a Breville which is just fine because for $19 you can get a gravity pot that allows your leaves, through multiple steeps, to open up beautifully. In fact, watching oolong leaves slowly expand steep after steep through the openness of a gravity pot is what inspired this website.
Portable car hot water kettle: On the road and don’t want to hit up Starbucks? Bring your own kettle, boil some water and steep tea right in your car or at your roving destination. Plus, it just feels super geeky which is half the fun.
Gongfu Chinese tea ceremony: This is true tea nerd status but for my bachelorette party we did not jet off to Vegas but rather hosted an in home Gongfu ceremony. We had food pairings, got a little tea buzzed and tried so many incredible varieties. In fact, this is when I discovered Verdant’s Laoshan Black. It’s really fun, interactive and a change of pace even for those addicted to their french press.
Ittalia tea cup and saucer: Western mugs have sized up for cream and sugar but traditionally you drink tea out of teacups so it can cool faster. These beautiful, sweet teacups and saucers allow you to steep your favorite tea, let out the heat and consume it while still fresh and warm.
